The King Arthur 31-33 Benedict Street Glastonbury BA69NB
New alternative night in Glastonbury.
This will be a night that doesn't drop and will introduce you to some of your favourite and some new alternative acts.
A great chance for me to bring some of the acts I am excited about to Glastonbury.
Palooka 5- ..this is the most quirky band that you’re likely to come across: 60s surf and garage music played on original vintage instruments, with an ‘Apocalypse Now’ twist. Their LP ‘Rough Magic’ received from BBC Radio 6 Music’s Gideon Coe and Tom Robinson. Expect goof- ball/bubblegum originals, alongside the odd fresh interpretation of The Sonics, The Ventures and The Cramps. This is lot are ‘Rock n Roll’ cut to the bone!
‘Their tunes wouldn't be out of place on an album of lost classics by Dick Dale or The Monks’ -Tom Robinson - BBC Radio 6 Music
‘The excellent Palooka 5’ - Gideon Coe - BBC Radio 6 Music
“Palooka 5 tick all the boxes for that curl-shooting, shape-throwing, surf hoodang you've always dreamed of" - Shindig Magazine
Bullybones- "Bullybones remain the most exciting underground UK band making brand-new-retro rock’n’roll and still scratching at the doors of the Music Bizness"
-LOUDER THAN WAR
